A Crazy Few Months

Hi Everyone,

It has been a few months since I have posted an update on what has been happening at Purple Heather Scottish Tours, so let me bring you up to date with all that has gone on since I last posted.

The bookings for this years tours have gone crazy, which is great news I think after the last 2 years of lockdowns etc people have this pent up desire to travel again.

Obviously with the war in the Ukraine it then throws doubt over some peoples reluctance to travel, and I totally understand this. We can only hope that the situation in the Ukraine gets better soon.

In Scotland at the moment it is still law that you wear a mask indoors like pubs etc.

Scotland is such a beautiful country and has lots of amazing places to visit, one of those places is The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park with average visitor numbers approximately 4 million a year, if you are looking to visit this stunning area of Scotland, head to the little village of Luss and go down to the pier, at the edge of Loch Lomond for spectacular views of Ben Lomond the most southerly Munro which is a mountain that is over 3000 feet. Balloch is a town in the National Park and is a lovely relaxing area for a day trip where you can take a boat trip out on Loch Lomond, here is a link to check out the prices or to book a cruise.

If you would like a little bit of retail therapy take a look around Lomond Shores which has cafes and shops and also a sea life centre.

On a personal note it is great to get back to some kind of normality but on the other hand it feels surreal that for some families sadly normality seems a long way off, my sincere condolences go out to everyone who has lost a loved one or friend during this awful time, and also to all those families that have so much pain and suffering, leaving their country because of war. We Stand with you Ukraine in support.
